In the army I was bambam...but I’m a girl!
My initials were the cause—and yes, I do know that women Marines were called BAM’s—and I do know what it stands for.

My Dad was in the Navy, then my step dad was in the Army.
He was stationed in Killeen Army Base, outside of Ft. Hood.
Kileen Base has since closed.
I was 9 at the time and to get on the base I had to have an id card. I got my picture taken and had to show it each time we came to base.
It was a BIG deal for me! ;-)
Then, when he transfered to Ft Jackson, we had to surrender it.
I was brought up in the Army, and have always had great respect for our soldiers in the service or our country.
And my memory is still geared toward those young men hitchhiking on those dusty highways of central Texas, and my Mother picking them up carrying them as far as she could, and some of their stories are very distant, but still linger in my brain.
Hitchhiking was the way they got home. Today you take you life in hand if you did that. Or picking up either.
Your so finnicky L0l
Breaking news off AP wire report that US head of Phillipines terror group Tamail tiger has been busted for terror charges in NYC
Life was a little like american graffiti back then, I guess. Lotta good times. I can still smell the smells...fresh coat of wax on my car, new carpet that I put in myself, beer, gasoline, burning rubber, aftershave...ha.
When I was young, they always said don’t marry too young. I think they lied. I think it’s better to marry young.
That will be nice.It more fun to travel with Ed cause he waits on me and spoils me but I am ready for Ireland and Rome.
