Don’t waste your time reading “The DaVinci Code.” The writing is amateurish and Grishamesque. You’ll be pissed off and want your life back. If ya gotta have some exposure to it, see the movie.
Not that the movie’s any good - it’s not - but it’s a shorter watch than the book is a read.
You know I’ve never read “The Passover Plot”? I think I have it. Gotta check when I get home.

Forget the billboards telling homosexuals that it is a sin, that were destroyed a few years ago. Someone should ask Rev. Miner where he was when those previous acts of vandalism took place.

"The centurion said to Jesus, "Lord, my partner and I had a fight. He scratched me and I scratched back. Now he is in our loft apartment paralyzed with angst and desiring validation." When Jesus heard this he said, "Dude. Being gay is cool with me. Whatever makes you happy. Now go and scratch no more."
LOL.
I'm surprised that gays haven't come out with their own Bible yet. If they do, that passage will surely find its way in there, along with hairstyling tips and chapters on smart decorating.

My bible certainly does not lead one to believe anyone was a homosexual in that story. I agree: LIE LIE LIE

May there be more activism of all kinds and less "lie down and take it"ism. Conservatives need to FIGHT BACK in as many ways as there are conservatives. Gentlemen and ladies, are your ladders and paint cans at the ready?

I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes."
Seems to me only a sick mind could read this as homosexual behavior.

If he showed up at my funeral Id haunt him. LOL! I actually use that threat myself!

I had heard that it wasn’t very well done and, of course, I didn’t by the premise. I have some secularized Italian friends who were very enthusiastic about it, and I saw study guides for it in bookstores, and then I read some place that a lot of people believed it to be factual, so I thought maybe it is something I should know about.
The movie does sound like a better deal. My reading lately is the dead white guy stuff I should have read in school but didn’t, so I think I’ll stick with that.

Sense when did "boy child" mean "same gender partner"? You have to consider who's doing the translating. It means the same if you're a pedophile.

"We're going to share a positive, powerful message how the Bible affirms gay people and we know there is going to be some opposition as we try to get that message out here."I don't know where Jesus "affirmed a gay couple" in the Bible, but I do know where he makes it abundantly clear that those who practice homosexuality spend eternity in hell.
And I do know there are no contradictions in the Bible, so somebody in this episode is twisting Scripture to try to justify what is condemed by God, and is not facing reality.

I have a copy of what is probably the most “liberal” translation of the Gospels, the “Scholars Version (SV),” by the Jesus Seminar folks. It clearly reads: “Sir, my servant boy has...” As I understand it, the SV mostly came from the most ancient sources, being Greek and Coptic. If the very, very liberal JS writers could find no reference to homosexuality here, it doesn't’t exist.

Apparently the Rev. Jeff Miner cannot read.Oh, but he can! He reads well enough to see stuff you and I can't -- you know, the stuff that's not there, the stuff between the lines.

Whew! Sure am glad someone wrote “LIE, LIE, LIE” acrossed the message. I’m certain a lot of folks would have been confused and thought that homosexuality was okay.

Even allowing that the centurion and his servant were gay, the passage is not an affirmation of homosexuality.
Christ was praising the centurion for demonstrating faith. Geeze they can’t even correctly interpret their perversion.
To: Abathar
Could be worse.
If this billboard had a similar message about Mohammad the good Reverend would be missing his head about now.

I wonder how these sodomites interpret other Bible verses like this one:
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination."

They’re mixed up... that’s the Satanic Bible, not ours.
Maybe they need to go back and read the real thing.

Ah, for the selective definition of words when reading scripture. Yeah, so anyone can translate any scripture to mean whatever he wants it to mean -- as in this case.
