“I really did not agree with Jim’s rudy socialist thread.”

I didn’t really bother reading the whole thing, I understand the concern every conservative has, or should have, concerning Guiliani.

Its become apparent to me Rudy Guiliani is a good man, and great in a crisis. Some people are better equiped to deal with emergency/life or death scenarios than others.

The problem as I see it with Rudy is when he gets bored....he gets himself in trouble, both professionally and personally.

I make my decision on who to vote for President using a simple matrix. Judicial nominations, taxation, national defense, 2nd Amendment. In no particular order, btw.

Rudy’s great on national defense from what I’ve seen and heard. And I’m cautiously optimistic about his view on taxation.

But I simply don’t trust him on judicial nominations, nor the 2nd Amendment. Given that, I can’t vote for him.

Scratch that. I won’t vote for him.

I tried Kobe beef a couple of years ago, in New Orleans the year before Katrina.

Too gamey, especially for the 150 bucks it cost.

Dare I ask the age old question then, what happens if he wins the nomination? Or is that answered in I won't vote for him.

“Dare I ask the age old question then, what happens if he wins the nomination? Or is that answered in I won’t vote for him.”

There is the rub, eh?

The last two times I got fed up with the GOP, I got Clinton for two terms after voting for Perot in 92, and again last fall, when I simply refused to support any Republican here in Ohio with the exception of Ken Blackwell.

We’ve got a lot of time between now and ‘decision time’. I doubt Guiliani can overcome the gun or abortion questions, let alone the visuals of him in ‘drag’ with the GOP base....but just as the Democrats suffer from Bush Derangement Syndrome, the GOP base still suffers from Clintonphobia - albeit to a much lesser degree.

I honestly can’t say what I’ll do if it comes down to Rudy or a Dem at this time.

Pricey for steaks but not necessarily pricey for Kobe beef.

Wagyu is the breed of cattle and not the farm. Kobe is the capital of Hyogo prefecture in western Japan. If you want some REALLY pricey beef, look up Matsusaka Beef. IIRC there are only about 150 head a year available.
