The Rudy Giuliani Truth File in his own words and deeds

The Rudy Giuliani Truth File in his own words and deeds - quotes, speeches, transcripts, clips, reports

This is the start of a series of threads that will be used to expose the truth about Rudy Giuliani in his own words and deeds.

Please post all of the quotes, speeches, interview transcripts, video clips, photos, newspaper/magazine articles, reports, records, statistics, NYC budgets, NYC spending, political appointments, gun grabs, connections to the gun control lobby, lawsuits against gun manufacturers, the truth about crime reduction in NYC, private property grabs, asset forfeitures, abuses of office, individual rights trampling, constitution trampling, violations of public trust, violations of the rule of law, national security risks, failures in security preparedness prior to and after 911, corruption, graft, bribes, favors, union dealings, mob dealings, business dealings leveraged through government contracts and contacts, rainmaking for his business partners, connections to US, Middle East or South American oil and energy companies and law firms that have profited and or will profit from Giuliani's government offices especially if he becomes president, war profiteering, his personal and business finances, his train wreck of a private life and lack of character, lack of qualifications for high office, illegal alien sanctuaries, welfare for illegals, pandering to illegals/illegal alien lobby, support for the abortion and gay rights lobbies, NARAL connections and participation, past and current support for McCain-Feingold, connections and dealings with liberal officeholders or the liberal/socialist caucuses/lobbies, etc, etc, etc, that you can find.

We're primarily interested in the words from his own mouth or primary source records and reports of his deeds/misdeeds. All submissions must contain true facts with documentation and links to source documentation and a link to FR thread on the individual item if available.

We do not need to embellish the record. The ugly truth from his own liberal mouth will impeach his credibility and the reader will be able to disqualify the man from consideration for high office based solely on his own words and deeds.

Here's an example entry:

Rudy on gun control: "You've got to REGULATE consistent with the Second Amendment"

FOX News | Feb 6, 2007 | Hanity and Colmes

http://www.freerepublic.com/^http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,250497,00.html

HANNITY: Let me move on. And the issue of guns has come up a lot. When people talk about Mayor Giuliani, New York City had some of the toughest gun laws in the entire country. Do you support the right of people to carry handguns?

GIULIANI: I understand the Second Amendment. I support it. People have the right to bear arms. When I was mayor of New York, I took over at a very, very difficult time. We were averaging about 2,000 murders a year, 10,000...

HANNITY: You inherited those laws, the gun laws in New York?

GIULIANI: Yes, and I used them. I used them to help bring down homicide. We reduced homicide, I think, by 65-70 percent. And some of it was by taking guns out of the streets of New York City.

So if you're talking about a city like New York, a densely populated area like New York, I think it's appropriate. You might have different laws other places, and maybe a lot of this gets resolved based on different states, different communities making decisions. After all, we do have a federal system of government in which you have the ability to accomplish that.

HANNITY: So you would support the state's rights to choose on specific gun laws?

GIULIANI: Yes, I mean, a place like New York that is densely populated, or maybe a place that is experiencing a serious crime problem, like a few cities are now, kind of coming back, thank goodness not New York, but some other cities, maybe you have one solution there and in another place, more rural, more suburban, other issues, you have a different set of rules.

HANNITY: But generally speaking, do you think it's acceptable if citizens have the right to carry a handgun?

GIULIANI: It's not only -- I mean, it's part of the Constitution. People have the right to bear arms. Then the restrictions of it have to be reasonable and sensible. You can't just remove that right. You've got to regulate, consistent with the Second Amendment.

HANNITY: How do you feel about the Brady bill and assault ban?

GIULIANI: I was in favor of that as part of the crime bill. I was in favor of it because I thought that it was necessary both to get the crime bill passed and also necessary with the 2,000 murders or so that we were looking at, 1,800, 1,900, to 2,000 murders, that I could use that in a tactical way to reduce crime. And I did.

For stealing the use of an apartment intended for the use of 911 workers so he could bed his slut?

Look - just because you are using a keyboard - does not give you license to use vile language. Really - just discuss things in a civil manner.

You know Rudy still has a double-digit lead in the Rasmussen 2008 POTUS poll.

Yeah, it's a pretty sad state for the GOP when the front runner can decline five points to a ridiculously bad 28% and still lead by double-digits.

At this point, I think "none of the above" has the biggest lead of all.

Hmm. Hadn’t considered that. Thanks.

Which words were inappropriate? Surely stealing was the correct word. The fact that he stole from people sacrificing for such a cause only makews it worse. Using bed as a verb is rather mild in such a situation. Slut must be the offending term. If she had demanded money for services rendered, I could have used whore but I don’t believe she did. Is there a better word for such women?

The question is why you would think that is a good thing.
Forgive me if I don't support electing a liberal as President.

Bernie Kerik was (and is) a great man.

You and I have a different definition of "great." Obviously.

“As for me, I am gaining knowledge regarding Rudy G., so when I go the my caucus I will know enough to argue with the Rudy sympathizers...”

That’s valid, I guess. I suppose that’s what caucus’ are for. Since I’m not a party man, this makes no matter to me.

I suppose there are people who post or lurk here who don’t know Rudy’s stance, past and present, on the issues. I have yet to encounter one but, hey, who knows.

“Rudy sympathizers”

See? That’s just the kind of thing I’m talking about. No offense but I’m not sure why you think anyone in your caucus you refer to in that manner would even consider your opinions on Rudy. It’s not enough to simply disagree with someone these days. Anyone who doesn’t share the exact same views must be demonized in some fashion.

Rudy praising Margaret Sanger and saying abortion is a Republican issue

Archives of Rudolph W. Giuliani, 107th Mayor

Opening Remarks to the N.A.R.A.L. "Champions of Choice" Lunch

The Yale Club, Thursday, April 5th, 2001

Thank you very much for inviting me to say a few words of welcome. This event shows that people of different political parties and different political thinking can unite in support of choice. In doing so, we are upholding a distinguished tradition that began in our city starting with the work of Margaret Sanger and the movement for reproductive freedom that began in the early decades of the 20th century.

As a Republican who supports a woman's right to choose, it is particularly an honor to be here. And I would like to explain, just for one moment, why I believe being in favor of choice is consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party. In fact, it might be more consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party. Because the Republican Party stands for the idea that you have to restore more freedom of choice...

These are a few quotes from Sanger:

"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)

Margaret Sanger (1883-1966) On blacks, immigrants and indigents: "...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people

On sterilization & racial purification: Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial "purification," couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.

On the purpose of birth control: The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)

On the rights of the handicapped and mentally ill, and racial minorities: "More children from the fit, less from the unfit -- that is the chief aim of birth control." Birth Control Review, May 1919, p. 12

On the extermination of blacks: "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon

On adultery: A woman's physical satisfaction was more important than any marriage vow, Sanger believed. Birth Control in America, p. 11

On marital sex: "The marriage bed is the most degenerating influence in the social order," Sanger said. (p. 23

Honoring Margaret Sanger for anything is unbelievable. The following are direct (chilling) quotes from Margaret Sanger in 1933 [Los Angeles Times, Feb 26, 1933. p. H3] in response to the interview question: "Just what would you do if you were appointed Dictator of Motherhood for the United States?--a sort of Mussolini of Maternity, with absolute powers to act?"
"First--Place greater responsibility upon social service workers, charities and all those having medical contact with the people and create a nationwide system of physical, mental and moral reports which would afford the government and every community a basis for intelligent action.

"Second--Appoint a commission of three or five in every community to decide if, couples should have progeny and determine when sterilization, isolation or free-will abstinence should be enforced.

"Third--I might grant pensions to those denied the right to have children, as a recognition of their contribution toward race betterment, just as we grant pensions to citizens who serve their country in other ways. The commission would also conduct educational campaigns to establish what sterilization and isolation really are and emphasize that the former is not a punishment, does not unsex the subject and causes no change beyond the elimination of parenthood.

"Fourth--Put the responsibility upon every mother to reduce maternity mortality. ... I would compel them to take measures to correct their health.

"Fifth--I would make parenthood a privilege. They would have to work for it.

"Sixth--Economics would be a factor. A man's earning potentialities, not his actual income at the time of the union, would be considered. I believe in birth control, not birth limitation, except. in certain cases. From the moment of marriage there would be a periodical check-up to make sure that the birth rate and financial standing were proportionate.

"Seventh--Treatment of children is important. Many parents prove they are unfit to have them. Parents who beat children 'because they have the right to would not be allowed to have any more.

"Eight--Certificates for parenthood, issued with the marriage license, would be compulsory. To obtain them both man and woman would undergo physical, mental and moral tests; family medical and mental history would be recorded and financial ability to rear children. There would be a black list and a white one. Those on the white list, bearing no children, would be privileged to adopt some. No child should be in an institution. ... "

And speaking of laws, the Gospel is not “a set of laws” we live by. That is religion. The Gospel says, God died for our lawbreaking as an act of love.

oooopsy! Back to bible school for you. Blackbird.

It's probably just ignorance. One can be a big proponent of birth control and still see Sanger as the witch she was. Rudy should know better.
