April 21, 2007 In the months before his shooting spree at Virginia Tech, Seung-Hui Cho purchased two ammunition clips through the online auction site eBay, ABCNews has learned.
An eBay spokesman confirmed the sale to the Associated Press late today after separate investigations by ABCNews and the Associated Press uncovered the existence of Cho's auction account.
"It's apparent that he purchased the empty magazine clips," eBay spokesman Hani Durzy told the AP. "They're similar to what could be purchased in any sporting goods store around the country."
Cho apparently purchased a two-pack of 10-round ammunition clips for a Walther P22 on March 22, 2007, less than a month before killing 32 people and himself at Virginia Tech. The ammunition was purchased on eBay from Elk Ridge Shooting Supplies. Police have said Cho used a Walther P22 during his bloody rampage Monday.
In addition to purchasing ammunition online, Cho appears to have sold used copies of books filled with violent themes and overtones on an eBay affiliated Web site called half.com.

opinion of Paul Helmke of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence: When you have a weapon that can shoot off 20, 30 rounds very quickly, youre going to have a lot more injuries.
Obviously paul has never met Jerry!
Jerry Miculek World Revolver Speed Shooting Records:
Eight shots in 1 second
Six shots-reload-six shots in 2.99 seconds
Six shots, two on each of three targets, in 1 second
Sixty shots out of ten revolvers in 17.2 seconds
They usually grew up in big cities. They have never been taught to handle firearms. They have never been hunting. They have never been target shooting. They view firearms with alarm and really can't conceive of why they might ever want or need one. They are truly ignorant about firearms in every sense of the word.
Would you like pictures of my scar?
I'd prefer a picture of a bloody, swollen thumb with a busted nail. A picture of an M1 thumb scar, however, would do. :-)
My brother bought an M1 last year and I expect one (more likely both) of us undergo that exquisite experience sometime this summer!
They are talking about the glock 18.
Ebay will not sell high cap mags, only 10 rounders.
No, it's not .... see www.ammoman.com .... good deals and free shipping
BLOAT.
Mr. Helmke is of course a moron. Large capacity magazines were as available a year before the AW ban expired as they are today, and at reasonable prices (the exception being high capacity 10-22 magazines, which for some reason were rather expensive - that situation hasn't self corrected much, either, for some reason).
Keep working on him, maybe he'll realize that returning fire with equal deadly force is the only thing that would stop a maniac like Cho..
Even the gun control types are finally realizing that the feel-good laws they helped put in place are just as responsible for mass death and destruction as the weapons used.
Look, we've tried it their way for years, and guess what? Criminals bent on murder could give a rat's patoot about gun control laws. What a hard lesson for those liberals to learn.
Yes, they make them for the Glock 18. This is a selective fire handgun that is identical the the standard Glock 17 except that it has a selector switch on the left rear of the slide that turns it fully automatic.
They even fit in Glock 17 holsters.
No it's not. You can go to "Sportmans Guide" or any number of other sites and buy ammunition all day. And it should stay that way.
No.
Is the moonclip really a clip?
Yes.
What if you have a black powder revolver with interchangeable cylinders?
Interchangeable cylinders.
A magazine clip: The device commonly used on a M16 to attach one magazine to another...
Ah, but we're not talking about something that directly holds ammunition and feeds the weapon, are we? If that were the case, you'd just go nuts over ammo pouches.
The killer's eBay feedback page is still up on eBay.

"Good buyer, prompt payment, valued customer, highly recommended..... Seller bullelk14 (10468) .... Mar-22-07 19:40 .... 140098812797 "
On Mar-22-07 19:27:27 PDT, in eBay Item number: 140098812797, he bought a 2 pack of Walther P22 Magazines that were empty of ammunition.
Disintegrating links and ammo cans...
I think I could make a case that disintegrating links are clips, and ammo cans are magazines.
Then I might be able to make the case that a fork lift pallet is a magazine clip and a forklift is a reloading tool.
Yep.
He came to the conclusion that we should ban guns but allow rubber bullet guns. I had to inform him that rubber bullets are fired from real guns and they kill at close range.
Then he said “tasers”.
So I told him that tasers are favorites for kidnappers and date rapists because there is no material evidence left behind after discharging one.
He had no comeback after that except “I don’t know then”.
Do you know if there is even a background check required to purchase a taser?
Now you are getting into ordinance where size definately matters. I'm firmly planted on your team! ;-D
Well, we Navy types know perfectly well what a "magazine" is:
and we never use "clips":
LOL!
>>>>Furthermore, there isn’t any device called a “magazine clip” at all.
