I support the effort to have nothing to do with, and not put up with the Rudy nomination. He is not conservative, and, IMHO, does not support the fundamental, core, moral values that define us as a free, God-fearing nation.
At the same time, as I have said, I am also saddened to see some of the long time people whom I have worked with against other liberals and socailistic issues lost from FR.
That's my point...whatever led to their leaving or banning, and stating up front and forthrightly that my opposition to Rudy is non-negotiable and fundamental, I will also not forget and pretend that these other individuals other efforts never happened...because they did.
Now...forward to getting a Hunter or Thompson on the ticket.
I'd have to say that was a combination of things. And I think most of them still hold the same values as when they were doing so much for the GOP. That's the problem. They were more concerned with the GOP than with conservative values. Those used to go hand in hand, but have recently split. Some stuck with conservatism, and some stuck with their vision for the GOP. A lot of conservatives are happy to see them go, because they used their time here to beat up on conservatives.
