when people are cheering for people’s opinions to be banned, and when they are offering bounties for their heads, that to me looks like hate. I’d suggest you just read the last 100-200 posts with an attempt to be fair, and tell me that you can’t understand what I am saying.
I don’t like Rudy, but I like what I see happening here on this thread even less. It is Lord of the Flies territory at the moment on this thread. Where’s the next head to stick on our spike?
“when people are cheering for peoples opinions to be banned, and when they are offering bounties for their heads”
No one here has offered a ‘bounty’ for anyones head.
Except a Rudyphile, who was banned.
“when people are cheering for peoples opinions to be banned, and when they are offering bounties for their heads, that to me looks like hate. Id suggest you just read the last 100-200 posts with an attempt to be fair, and tell me that you cant understand what I am saying.”
Then turn the channel to another thread. There is a serious battle going on in regards to conservatism. If you don’t get it, you don’t get it.
The next liberal mole or troll that can't resist the light. BZZZZZZZTTTT!
It’s not hate; it’s freedom and rights of ownership. This is Jim Robinson’s site. He gets to set the rules and define the mission. Everyone is free to set up their own website with their own agenda. To disrupt another’s website is hateful. Rudy does not hold conservative positions on many important issues. We don’t owe him our support, especially when he doesn’t represent our values. We still live in a republic, don’t we?
“Id suggest you just read the last 100-200 posts with an attempt to be fair, and tell me that you cant understand what I am saying.”
I’d suggest you just read the last 9000+ posts and then reconsider your statement. I completely understand what you’re saying. I completely understood what “just sayin” was saying earlier too.
I see where other posters cleared the air as far as who offered what and why. “Where’s the next head to stick on our spike?” Those are your words and they seem to add to the very nature of what you’re having issues with.
I appreciate your views.
I agree with you Rob. And I'm really turned off by it. And I love this forum. Many of the best friends in the world are on this forum. I met my husband here. Perhaps I am not associated with the most serious political muscle on the forum; I post Hobbit Hole threads and ping articles about dogs and horses. But I've been a monthly donor and frequent poster here for years, and I've worked with others here to support our troops, not just with words, but with lots of money and time.
Right now though, I don't care which Republican candidate wins the nomination. I just don't want to be associated with the nastiness that has become this forum lately. I LOVE good debate. But this isn't good debate about the issues, this is childish name calling against pretty decent people. Not on my free time. When I post about the issues, I try to debate cleanly and fairly and there's not been much of that to be found on campaign threads of late.
Those who are most pleased with how this thread is going are the types I least want to be associated with. The Admin Moderator and owner of this site is/are now posting things like "Shutup Asshole" and "Up yours asswipe". That sort of language used to be not allowed here, those kind of posts would have been pulled as inappropriate. Now they have a cheering section.
Blech.
Where is the mature, civilized, intelligent political debate going to be for this election? It's not been happening here. And that's too bad.
I agree wholeheartedly, Rob. I just got back on here, and the high-fiving and woo-hooing over long-time Freepers being banned is not sitting well. It has become an echo chamber.
