The religious right is a strawman created by the media and the Democrats. Christians have some influence in the party, but we aren’t monolithic. People who have no faith or who wish to support or engage in libertine practices are often very afraid of us. I said to another person on this thread, they are shooting at rabbits in their front yard, while the wolves that would devour them come in through the unguarded back door.

Jewish people for some reason, have this overwhelming fear of Christians. Christians are the strongest supporters of Israel and the Jewish people. Quite often the belief in government as a protector from persecution prevents some Jews from seeking out Christians as their natural allies. It's a real shame.

Well, Mia T doesn’t think this way. I know it as a fact. She only wants to help.

In the video on Mia’s old thread to the RR, Bill Clinton is talking about “fundamentalism.”

As best as I can recall, Clinton says the Religious Right is like the islamofascist terrorists because they both believe they have the absolute truth and are intolerant. He goes on to imply that like the islamofascist terrorists, the RR would kill anyone who did not agree with their idea of the truth. And you could hear the hatred of the RR in Clinton’s voice. That thread is worth a look and listen.
