Maybe more than Rudy the liberal is involved here. Some people have a real problem with social conservatives, the Christian right, or whatever the prejorative is these days.
I think conservatism is alive and well in America, but it's stone cold dead in the media and in nationa politics. I don't know for sure why, but I suspect is because we compromised once too often.
