Duncan Hunter is unelectable (nobody outside of the most hardcore partisan has ever heard of him). Newt is unelectable (talk about an unsavory private life!). Fred Thompson has lymphoma, and that could keep him from running. Romney's religion means that even some Christian conservatives won't vote for him. You ding Fred Thompson for having cancer but you appear to forget that the other front-runners have had cancer.

I’m not “dinging” him. I like Fred. I’d vote for him. But he has cancer NOW, and that could make a grueling campaign unfeasable. Remember, Rudy left his Senate campaign because of his cancer and the demands that the treatment put on him.

So why is Thompson’s cancer pertinent, and Rudy’s cancer not? Rudy bailed in mid race against Hillary and handed her a senate seat.
