The thread was intended as you said in a much earlier post to put FR on notice that liberal viewpoints were not going to be tolerated in our Presidential candidates. I was just pointing out the in many of the very areas that Jim mentioned— abortion, gay rights/marriage, gays in military, the War on drugs— the objectives of the libertarians are the same as the liberals just for different reasons.

Now maybe you are one of those libertarians that doesn’t agree with the libertarian platform, but then you are you are making up your own definition of the word.

Rudy disagrees with wide swaths of the GOP platform, so is he also therefore a dubious Republican?

Now, Rob, if I were going to expound on my libertarian views and in what respects, if any, they diverged from the conservative views as set forth by the founder of this forum, I would be going against my statement that I do not need to or intend to use this forum as a platform to promote those opinions. I think that you are just trying to bait me into saying something that you could say proves that "people like me" aren't welcome here, when I am here to tell you the "people like me" feel very welcome here.

The views of myself and many libertarians are very compatible (although perhaps not identical) with conservatives on the issues of abortion, gay rights/marriage, and gays in the military. WOD? Well that's a discussion for another day.

I'm sorry, but try as you might, you just can't make me feel unwelcome here.
