Now, Rob, if I were going to expound on my libertarian views and in what respects, if any, they diverged from the conservative views as set forth by the founder of this forum, I would be going against my statement that I do not need to or intend to use this forum as a platform to promote those opinions. I think that you are just trying to bait me into saying something that you could say proves that "people like me" aren't welcome here, when I am here to tell you the "people like me" feel very welcome here.

The views of myself and many libertarians are very compatible (although perhaps not identical) with conservatives on the issues of abortion, gay rights/marriage, and gays in the military. WOD? Well that's a discussion for another day.

I'm sorry, but try as you might, you just can't make me feel unwelcome here.

I’m NOT trying to make you feel unwelcome here, and I am sorry if I came across that way. I was just saying that someone who was a libertarian would have a lot of issues on which they would disagree with FR’s stated position, and be in agreement in end-result with the liberal position. Of course there would also be many areas of agreement with the conservative positions.

I really did not mean to offend you, I will not continue to beat this subject.

I am not attacking you personally I am very libertarian in a number of my views as well. I will stop now.

I, for one, want you to feel utterly welcome and I am prepared to back that up with cookies!

I do not offhand have a recipe for libertarian cookies but I'll bet I could find one. Rose Wilder Lane must have had cookie recipes, and you can't get much more libertarian than she. I'll see what I can find. Rand? Never. Isabel Paterson? Dunno, but she doesn't seem the type. The search for other libertarian women cookie bakers took me here. Does not seem to be cookie country either.
