What we need is an executive who understands that fact, the way Lincoln understood it.

I assume this means that you want the President to issue an EO banning abortions nationwide.

(please restate if I'm wrong)

Is there any recognized Presidential candidate who is committed to doing this? Would you vote only for such a candidate?

Sure. I'd go for that. After the appropriate Constitutional challenges were played out, we might be able to control the killings. It might just wake some America's up to whats been happening to the unborn since Roe v Wade became the law of the land. The SCOTUS decision in Roe v Wade was an act of raw judicial power, a judicial fiat. Either case, abortion on demand is an abomination that must stopped now. Nowhere in the Constitution is it written that a woman has a right to kill her unborn child. The Founders never intended such a heinous court decision become law.

Sure.

Let's call it the gestation proclamation. ;-)

I recognize that there are pro-lifers who have their heart in the right place who do not understand the federalist argument I have outlined.

That said, I am not keen on voting for someone who believes abortion should be decided by the states, and who actually opposes a federal role. We are not a confederacy, and life is a right.
