And, Lando, you are so right; it is much, much more than another flame-war on an unimportant web site. FR was having a positive effect on politics and had become a valuable resource in the fight against the left. It is now well on its way to becoming a laughing-stock, and fulfilling the preconceptions of an uninformed and potentially hostile public.
I've seen few stinkier steaming piles than that on FR in seven years.

I am sadly having to agree with you, and I mean no disrespect to you, Jim. Maybe you don't care that much about the "laughingstock" thing... it's been going on anyway, and the laughers are mostly laughable themselves.
Hopefully, the positive effect of FR on politics will continue and strengthen. Looking forward to that debate next week...
Sorry, but the recently departed were doing their best to drag FR to the left. And then they got both greedy and arrogant trying to force Rudy down our throats. And it backfired on them big-time.
Others revealed themselves to be far less than conservative. The trashing of the pro-life movement by many of them was despicable.
