241 US Marines were killed by terrorist butchers. My brother in law had an Uncle that was among the dead. I guarantee every one of us here today at these boards would have demanded that Reagan bring all of the organizers of that attack to justice. And How would we look back at the lack of response if Carter had been pres when it happened? My guess is people would think differently if Carter had said he didn’t want Lebanon to derail his plans.

That guarantee left me out, I had the same emotional feelings everyone else did, but I trusted that the Reagan administration knew what it was doing, and history bears him out, but interesting that you locked on the emotional hook and then brought in the old Carter point.
