The problem with cellphones is, if you get them wet, and they are on, chances are the circuits are going to short out immediately.

You’ll know, because they will just stop working.

Unfortunately, drying them out afterwards isn’t going to work.

found that out the hard way. Now if it gets wet, I immediately remove the battery and let it dry out. I’ve had pretty good luck with that. I once got pushed into a swimming pool with the phone in my pocket - it was WET

after a few days of drying out it was as good as new.
