found that out the hard way. Now if it gets wet, I immediately remove the battery and let it dry out. I’ve had pretty good luck with that. I once got pushed into a swimming pool with the phone in my pocket - it was WET

after a few days of drying out it was as good as new.

Could you imagine all the money you could make selling ‘scrap’ cellphones from people who drop them in the water on the beach and pools?

I had mine in my pocket at the beach. I changed the battery and for several days it looked like it might start to work. Pretty colors but no phone.
