Jim, you are a man of integrity, patriotism, wisdom beyond your years, discernment, and more adjectives than I can list here. One of the things that holds you up above the rest is that you are not the type of man to compromise your principles, ethics and morals to meet the expectations of societal norms!! Keep upholding the high standards by which you live, and by which you maintian FR!!
Watch out now, wolf24 will be along any minute to accuse you of kissing Jim's a**.
Don't mind him though, he's a one-trick pony and is dependent on people dropping 25 cents at a time in his change box for a 2 minute ride.

I have seen that difference too. What a difference the train ride from NYC to Westchester is now. Almost a pretty ride in some places. Less graffiti and abandoned cars.
HOWEVER, IMO he can’t clean up the country. What is wrong with this country are the liberal views he defends and cherishes.

No arguement here! I didn’t need to be convinced by all Rudys other faults, I disqualified him for president on his abortion stance alone!

Yikes, Delphinium, who gave you that ping list? Satan?
I think he might have given me different names, those are probably some of his favorites. I know I left out quite a few, they were just the ones I see as being jerks to me.

We need leaders like the founding fathers again in this country. I wonder if that is even possible anymore.

Rudy’s view on things is the view Europe went for. Give up liberty and self-determination for authoritative control, but a perhaps more pleasant environment. But the state sneaks in and erodes the moral underpinnings that allow you to stand free. You pay a price. When the right to murder the unborn is considered a virtue, and the right to say Merry Christmas is considered a vice, something is wrong with that picture.
“This is the tendency of all human governments. A departure from principle becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering... And the fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in it’s train wretchedness and oppression.” Thomas Jefferson

Interesting too how in some divorces, it is a woman’s right to choose to leave her husband. A husband who will have to financially support her and any children in her choice to leave him.
Thy hypocrisy of the left never ends.
God knows, He sees and He hears our pleas.
Off to bed for me. Nite.

Yeah, I don’t much care for the name calling, but I don’t mind getting real passionate about one’s beliefs. That said, no one hates like a liberal. They even hate themselves. I don’t bother with hate, it is a wasted emotion. Hating someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other one to die.

As a New Yorker, you know what kind of Republican you have to run as in order to get elected mayor of this town: You run as moderate pro-life, pro-gun control, and hard core law-and-order. It boggles my mind that people get down on Rudy for gun control in a city where most of the residents WANT GUN CONTROL. They WANT it, they really do.
Crazy? Hell yeah it's crazy, but that's what the electorate wants.
You know what other crazy crap they want here? They want abortion on demand, so they have it. That's the kind of place NYC is.
