Ahh, I got a chuckle out of it. A bunch of boohoo stuff and negativity. bwahahahahaha.
I completely understand what Jim is trying to do. Create focus, unite and give FR a sense of direction. Some people got bloodied and hurt along the way and that is too bad, but in running any company, institution or business it is necessary to have clear concise goals, objectives, direction and focus to move forward. That doesn’t mean dissent is bad or restricted or discouraged. Healthy debate is good, but the message is clear and the direction is set.

Oh, so all that is what conservative means. Thanks for explaining chump.Well, at least that's how this site's founder describes it, bloke.

dirtboy, with all due respect, wondering about how some people can come unhinged over an internet site (Clown Posse) while ignoring the unhinged behavior of some on THIS site is a bit much.
Some people do take things personally, particularly when they are called vulgar names. Some people are funny that way.

LOL! Yeah...my oldest son came to the office today with Sabres magnetic decals on the doors of his Hummer2.
They're kicking butt and taking names this playoff season.

Agreed. Since we need every soldier for whatever is coming at us next, it's sad to see all the factions and petty differences defeat us more successfully than our enemies.
Every conservative I've ever met has been a disappointment on some issue. But only a Democrat would steal my green sweater. Bastard!

I've heard they literally worked to try and get some of their "enemies" fired from their jobs.
Some people do take things personally, particularly when they are called vulgar names. Some people are funny that way.
Other folks literally see other posters and factions as enemies to be defeated, instead of just letting the occasional flame war run off their backs like most folks here. That factionalizing is taking it too far and leads to events like we've seen over the last couple of weeks.

Mr. Robinson, you may have missed my post, #15,026, in which I requested that my name be removed from FR’s membership list, so I again request that you cancel my account here.
Thank you. barset

Calling people a$$wipes because they disagree with you is also dirty politics.I have not used that word EVER on this forum, and I will not now or in the future.
Trying to force your version of what the laws should be, not what they are,
OK, so in your world, my backing candidates that will enact laws that I agree with and repeal those that I find abhorrent is somehow "force"? Funny, I thought voting for those I agree with and speaking up about those candidates I disagree with to be "representative government" and "freedom of speech". Guess I really is stoopid.
purges, etc., etc., THAT is what I mean by Torquemada tactics.
And I would suppose going to some ones party and whizzing in the punch bowl warrants a kindly offer from the host to poop on the carpet?
I don't think I'll invite you to my upcoming B-day cookout party...

There were a lot of dustups in 1999 as well. The year before the primaries is full-contact.
Plus, right now there is a lot of tension between conservatives and pragmatists who think the GOP has to shift leftward to win. I personally don't see it - to the contrary, I think the GOP's rudderless leftward drift is the primary reason it lost Congress in the 2006 elections.
