It's not flaming that is a problem for me, but the glee and vindictiveness which greets the purging of people whom I don't always agree with, or do, but who are good conservatives.

Where's the sarcasm tag? Have you read what they've said and done? I know it's a huge thread but please read first. It's hugh and series.

You've been here, is it such a nasty place as to attempt to do damage to where these people have posted for years? Is there no loyalty or decency?

I read through the DC thread. Pretty much reminds me of the threads on CU that depict DU (I find those CU threads a conduit to liberal bastions for amusement) in some ways and like any other FR thread in others. They bicker, ban people, get sidetracked, have puerile convictions with no wriggle room, and such. A bit of hypocrisy. Too bad some people cheer for failure with malice and hatred over there, but to each his own. Some of these posters are scorned and feel resentment or something I suppose.

The mods are trying to create some semblance of rally with occasional “welcomes” and “here is where to go” kind of stuff for interlopers. It is a busy thread and it has its own conspiracy nuts - good grief someone posited that Alan Keyes bought FR, Jim Robinson is not Jim Robinson, and EV is in charge of FR. LMAO.

Such is the internet.

I think I am a member there (no posts or a few), probably no longer now that I posted this. I was welcomed there in freepmail way back and I am sure there a lot of good people there, but some on that thread giddy about another sites fate is peculiar to me at best. Unrequited love perhaps.

But those at DC, believe me, FR will become stronger than ever representing the conservative wing of the GOP - united.

If that’s a “destructive and murderous lyring myth,” why has GWB, who’s pro-life, done nothing to stop abortion EXCEPT appointing good Supreme Court justices?

The verdict is still out on his appointments. So far, they've shown little courage.

I know some people were afraid of her and her mob. She does not deserve any notoriety for that. I won’t comment any further on it.

Free Republic has always been a conservative forum. FR has never been a Republican Party based forum. FR supports political conservatism and opposes political liberalism. If conservatism crosses paths with Republicanism, that is a good thing. The GOP is the conservative party in America today and we're working to keep it that way.

I’d be happy to comment on your post, but I need to understand who you are referring to when you say “we”. I’m viewing “we” as those of us who want to see Rudy out of the primaries. It’s only fair that I understand your perspective before I respond.

“I do not doubt that viewed from inside the private confines of your mental theater, we aren’t very appealing. Being very well acquainted with your posting history I can only say I’m honored that you don’t find us very “pretty.””

Regardless of the battle so to speak, that was a mouthful in a short post. I like it. Might have to steal it.;)

“Oh...ok...so it’s kind of like stalking?”

Stalkiing? How is that stalking by going over and seeing what's being posted on an open forum? It seems you have an overactive imagination. You need to get a life.

“Seems you feel that you’ve won something.”

Seems you like to assume things. Know what they say about people who assume don’t you?

“Might I suggest that a gracious winner is more attractive than a taunting one?”

You are free to suggest whatever you want. However, for you to imply that I have taunted someone would be false and deceptive. Might I suggest you consider not posting comments here that aren't factual?

Thanks EV. I’ll read that later on. Its a long one.

Just on the surface, however, I don’t buy the conclusion offered up in the title.

Oh no, Not you making a point to me. LOL :) Just kidding. I appreciate you.

Once I had taken offense and thought the front page said republican. I wish I checked. I would have won that debate. ;) My friend calls me a little to the right of Reagan. I get your point, Yet it still does not make my points invalid. Many of those Freepers fought the cause for years and yet were banned. I've seen worse that should have been banned and were not. That is all I meant.

Yeah, I got a kick out of that one too! LOL!

Hey EV, the moonbats over at DC say you’re in charge here. How come we didn’t get the memo? LOL!
