Naw, JR refused to close Hildy’s account. He told her, “opus denied,” which means that she has to have the fortitude not to come back.

That would be mighty hard for me.

Come on....it was a bad choice of analogy.

But the message was right on target.

In order to win in 2008 we're going to need tons of Reagan Bluedogs crossing over to our side.

ESPECIALLY when you consider the religious right is threatening to stay home entirely.

That's what she meant. We have to appeal to the majority to save this country...hell...to SAVE the free world.

Stand tall, refuse to be put down, and do the right thing, that’s what I think he would do.

>>>>>>Regardless of what is posted over there today, Howlin assured me that WA is in NO WAY, an anti-Freeper site. Bottom line, I believe her.

LOL What a gullible soul you are.

Where is the “updated” banned list?

"With all due respect, If I invite someone to my home, I usually respect that they may differ in opinion. I leave it at that, not cheer if hubby kicks them out, not insult them or make statements to push the issue, that may make them more vocal. Some may deserve to be banned but I don’t think many did. Hopefully, some were suspended and will return. Both sides need to be more respectful. IMO"

As pointed out about the guests in question

"the visiting houseguest who brusquely commandeers the contents of your liquor cabinet; vomits noisily into the aquarium; and (when rightfully instructed by their host to cease such loutish behavior) spits curses at the wife and children."

This is a fair analogy. You may embrace "situational ethics" in lieu of traditional morality. Many others do not.

It’s NOT Howlin’s site. It’s MadIvan’s...who IMHO, was a Prince of a gentleman in this forum.

"Like so many others, you're under some illusion. If someone wants to promote liberalism and oppose conservatism, then FR is not for them. If you read back through this thread, you'll see exactly what FR is all about."

Once again, I'm also including fellow CONSERVATIVES who have been driven away from FR defending those who "promote liberalism and oppose conservatism." I guess that means that they weren't "true" conservatives, after all then, right?

"Keep pushing the envelope, anything is possible."

I will, at least until I'm banned, too.

In order to win in 2008 we're going to need tons of Reagan Bluedogs crossing over to our side.

They came over because they were pro-God, pro-life, and pro-gun.

As I've said a thousand times: RINOs can always be counted on to learn the one hundred and eighty degree wrong lesson from any given set of events.

“substitute decadent pleasures to keep us entertained and not caring.”

It has been a long time since I’ve heard that, but it is still true.

ask yourself what would RR do?

Run as hard as he could against the RINO.

I do not doubt that viewed from inside the private confines of your mental theater, we aren't very appealing. Being very well acquainted with your posting history I can only say I'm honored that you don't find us very "pretty."

Cleaning the soot out of your chimney can cause your face to get a bit smudged, but if you don't, it can catch fire and burn your house down.

Yes, Ronald Reagan would run as hard as he could against the RINO. But, he wouldn’t take down the party doing it.

Hildy requested to have her account closed, and Jim responded with a post that said, “Opus Denied”.

I find this tremendously amusing. Still chuckling today...
