I assumed that it had been because it was all over this thread yesterday.
With no offense intended, I would suggest that that is not a good assumption. The aviation community here at FR is both knowledgeable and resourceful enough to identify the pilot of the downed plane without waiting for the official confirmation.
It wasn’t announced yet but knowledgeable people here knew it couldn’t be anyone but him.
And I can’t believe there are people still posting crap on here that is stirring up last night’s stuff. (Shaking head).
