I'm northern, but regard Lee as one of the great men of American history. I hope the Southerners never forget their brave and heroic past.

I wonder when the Left is going to notice that many military bases are named after great Confederate leaders (A.P. Hill, for one)?

Lee’s strategies are still taught in military schools, if I’m not mistaken.
Most people don’t even know that he was Lincoln’s first choice as Union commander but Lee [who disliked slavery] said that he was a Virginian, first.

*shrug*

History gets rewritten so often that I can’t keep up any more.

The problem is that many Southerners are ignorant of their brave and heroic past. They are totally unaware of the many thousands of brave Southerners who did resist the Democrats' rotten Confederate slave empire. Too many people incorrectly think that Confederate=Southern.

Thanks, Hellbender. There were a lot of brave soldiers on both sides.
