(04/19/07 -- DURHAM) - A week after state Attorney General Roy Cooper dropped all charges in the Duke Lacrosse case about a dozen people are protesting that decision.
Thursday morning they gathered outside the house on North Buchanan Street, where the infamous party took place, calling for justice. They say the Attorney General made the wrong decision.
On March 13, 2006 an exotic dancer accused three Duke Lacrosse players of kidnapping and raping her. All of those charges have been dropped citing insufficient evidence. AG Cooper said in a press conference last week the accuser could not identify the suspects, and changed her story.
Protestors believe the accuser was denied the right to have her case hear in court. "We want to make sure that the victim receives a fair hearing. We want to see justice prevail through a jury trial," one protestor said.
The group went on to say the focus was shifted away from the accuser to the way Mike Nifong handled the case. The group also said money played a big role in the case.

Some of the ignorant "citizens" in Durham are still wanting a Jury Trial for the Duke Lacross players -- even after all the charges have been dropped and the boys declared INNOCENT....
No doubt they would demand an all black jury to insure fairness for the lying nappy headed ho...
Some folks are simply too stupid to be taken seriously...

This is not over. Watch the ACLU and the rest of the usual suspects file a civil suit over the matter.

"Protestors believe the accuser was denied the right to have her case hear in court. "We want to make sure that the victim receives a fair hearing. We want to see justice prevail through a jury trial," one protestor said." I doubt anyone at this protest actually works for a living, therefore no one pays taxes, ergo the cost of a trial would Not be paid for by their taxes.
Obviously a trial would be a complete waste of judiciary time and of course the taxpayers money. They need to get a job and a life.

Naah, nothing to gain from charging a penniless, ignorant lying whore...
She will simply have to deal with being just that - her entire miserable life ---- even if the adulterous racist rabble rouser Jesse Jackson follows through on his promise to pay for her college education so she doesn’t have to continue whoring, stealing, setting up an extortion rape or get a real job...

If/when Roy Cooper is the Democrat nominee for governor of North Carolina, will they vote for him... or the Republican?
Just asking... (evil grin)

The prosecutors had argued that a doctor could be a drug trafficker even if he didnt know the drugs he prescribed were being resold,... Hugh Betcha. Duke might as well hand those boys the key to the front gate. And Nifong is going to have to sell a hell of a lot of Happy Meals to pay of the upcoming judgements against him.
Right after he gets out of prison, of course.

Nifong should be locked up. His misconduct is clearly criminal.
