John Edwards said hes embarrassed about his now famous $400 haircut.
Campaign finance records show that Edwards campaign paid a Beverly Hills stylist $400 for his haircuts. Those pricey snips have undercut Edwards image as a populist crusading for the little guy.
Its a ridiculous amount of money for a haircut, Edwards told reporters after a campaign stop on Adels town square. Im actually embarrassed by it.
This guy had to come to where I was to get a haircut. I knew itd be expensive. I didnt know it would be that expensive. Hopefully Ill have enough sense not to do that again.
Edwards rejected the notion that his haircuts dont jibe with his campaign message...

Edwards is a high maintenance candidate.
He probably just gets the standard pedicure for men at The Pink Sapphire Spa - toenail polish might be a little much, even for a Silky Pony.
But Edwards says that he is for us little people and that his dad...

How could I forget his dad worked in a mill. That makes two $400 haircuts perfectly understandable.

Ewwwwww, wouldn’t want him in my house EVER much less in my kitchen were I prepare the food to feed my family. No thanks.
That cartoon is perfect! LOL!
It had to be the “timeless bride” package.
I wonder if he wears a hair net at night like George Clooney in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”
“I don’t want Fop. I’m a Dapper Dan man!”
Yeah. Those expensive haircuts might be embarrassing but going to a Pink Sapphire Spa is downright HUMILIATING. However, I bet Edwards doesn't think it unusual to go to such a spa for makeup treatments.
sKerry had that manicure before one of the debates....demorcats — the girly men candidates.
If this is how the other half lives, I don't want to be a part of it.
And, to the poster that said he would have gotten far more out of going to Joe's Chop and Clip.... That's spot on.
A gesture like that might have even made me think about voting for him, if I were in the barber shop and had a chance to yak with him. (shudder) Fortunately, I don't ever need to worry about that. Not too many $400 "stylists" at my barber's.
....welll....I'll cut him a little slack here. All politicans (since Nixon in '60) put makeup on before hitting the TV, I'd imagine.
Doesn't mean that I think they're less manly for it. And, I think that I'd have chosen something more macho that the "Pink Sapphire". Maybe "Joe's Chainsaw Sharpening and Makeup Stop".
Re Pink Sapphire...
I promise hes not in here getting facials and cucumber peels on his eyes or anything, she said. Shes an Edwards fan: Hes fantastic. Great personality, very, very nice, down to earth. Shes met Elizabeth Edwards, but hasnt done her makeup.”
On another thread someone opined that the bikini wax was a bitch.
LOL... Sounds just like that clip of Al Gore saying he'll have to inform himself.
