John Edwards said hes embarrassed about his now famous $400 haircut.
Campaign finance records show that Edwards campaign paid a Beverly Hills stylist $400 for his haircuts. Those pricey snips have undercut Edwards image as a populist crusading for the little guy.
Its a ridiculous amount of money for a haircut, Edwards told reporters after a campaign stop on Adels town square. Im actually embarrassed by it.
This guy had to come to where I was to get a haircut. I knew itd be expensive. I didnt know it would be that expensive. Hopefully Ill have enough sense not to do that again.
Edwards rejected the notion that his haircuts dont jibe with his campaign message...

Silk Pony boy, since you spent more than $16 on a haircut, consider yourself a fool.

....welll....I'll cut him a little slack here. All politicans (since Nixon in '60) put makeup on before hitting the TV, I'd imagine.Yeah, but if I'm not mistaken, I believe the networks have makeup people on hand to fix up the guests before they appear on the shows. It shouldn't be necessary for Edwards to have his own makeup people for TV appearances.

In that case, Edwards lied because he said that he was surprised and didn't know the haircut would cost so much.
He couldn't be surprised by the price twice.

His $400 haircut was billed to the campaign, so it is ‘free.’

According to Federal Election Commission reports, the Edwards campaign paid $225 for Pink Sapphires services, a $150 payment on March 7 and a $75 payment on March 20. He made payments for a haircut?

It won't matter because the media won't note it, liberals won't care and/or won't catch it, and, after all, it's just a couple of haircuts.
But if he were conservative this would be evidence of a serious character flaw.

If I’m ever on breaking news every 30 minutes, I will.
There’s nothing worse than the regret of wasting an opportunity for fun.

At Super Cuts, $16 and a tip to a cutie. There are old time barbershops but they charge $12 and they ain't cute. Then there's the Beauty School.....dirt cheap but you're a guinea pig.
No matter where one goes, it takes a least a week before your hair style recovers from the trauma.
