I am not surprised at all. I think he is as close to a Republican as you can get in Hollywood. I mean I know that does not say much, but he does not seem like a wacko liberal anyway. He could be a moderate Republican perhaps.
The Republicans aren’t going to run away from difficult questions like the Dems are. Although maybe the fact that Republican’s are going ahead with this debate says more about MSNBC vs. Fox than Republicans vs. Democrats.
You know with Fox News you are going to get tough, hard-hitting, balanced questions. MSNBC will probably just be a lot of fluff.
I don’t know...with Chris Matthews as the moderator...I look for him to set up as many “gotcha” questions as he can.
He will scour the bios of all of the candidates and then ask them questions that, if answered the way he would expect....would end up looking bad.
And, he will also use Pres. Bush by bringing up stuff about Bush that he doesn’t like, and try to tie them to that.
