It is the updated security checks that can cause problems.

Also, clearance for certain intel can raise problems. The need for that clearance for line officers is not a real problem until they reach command levels.

Funny how history repeats itself.

A commander made it a few days at Eilsen AFB in Alaska in the late 90s.

That's a catch-all phrase. It could be anything from sexual affairs to DUIs to poor aircraft maintenance evaluations. We usually don't find out what the real story is.

No doubt, five days? Maybe he did something really serious during his last job. Maybe he got a DUI. As serious as that is here in the states, it's a serious prison sentence on a first offense in an Islamic country.

I was in a “q” squadron....a tight knit community out on whidbey island....wonder what happened?

So was my husband. We loved Whidbey. When were you there. We were there in the mid 80's.
