'Innocent' declaration angers local activists [Duke Lacrosse Hoax]

DURHAM -- State Attorney General Roy Cooper "wrote off a whole section of Durham" last week when he declared three former Duke University lacrosse players "innocent" of accusations they sexually assaulted and kidnapped a woman, community activist Theresa El-Amin told a group of about 15 supporters of their discredited accuser Monday.

At a meeting at The Know Bookstore And Cultural Center at 2520 Fayetteville St., El-Amin and fellow activists Victoria Peterson and Lavonia Allison aired their opposition to Cooper's vindication of the former Duke players.

Peterson, an ardent supporter of the exonerated players' accuser, said Cooper circumvented the justice system when he declared the former defendants innocent on all counts.

"I don't really care what you think, if you think that the girl was lying or telling the truth, but what happened to the judicial system we have in this country where the jury is the only one who can say if someone is innocent?" Peterson said. "If he thought there wasn't enough evidence, he could dismiss the charges, but this man [Cooper] took it a step further, he said 'We believe these three are innocent.' "

"People on death row get exonerated [all the time] and did you ever hear an attorney general come out and say [the exonerated individual] is innocent? It's a scandal," El-Amin said.

Community member Beverly Jenkins said the fact that the accuser had not been charged with making false accusations proves Cooper has something to hide.

Activist Dannette Sharpley, who is working with El-Amin to plan an April 28 march against sexual violence, said the charges were dismissed because society undervalues women of color and women who work as exotic dancers and strippers.

"To them, this woman was unrape-able. [To them] she asked for it. [To them] she doesn't dignify the process. That's why they're 'innocent,' " Sharpley said.

Peterson said she felt the African American community in Durham failed to rally around the accuser because the woman was employed as a stripper.

El-Amin, who said she wanted to get Durham's black churches to offer the accuser financial support, got about five people to agree to help her provide the accuser with food and rent money. She added that she was not in contact with the victim but hoped she would be soon.

And what if Cooper had charged her? My guess is that Ms Jenkins would say it proves him a racist.

That's a steaming pile. These liberal idiots always ignore the facts a remodel everything to fit their bizarre and destructive agendas. It's because she's a black woman stripper and not because of the total lack of evidence? Absurd.

Whatever is inside El-Amin's head sure isn't brain matter.

In this country a jury declares guilt, not innocence. We are innocent until proven guilty.

No, you hag, it's because the EVIDENCE didn't support the charges. Of course, I guess the evidence doesn't matter when there's a political point to be made.

Why did this meeting attract any media attention at all?! Your average Sunday School Class has more than 15 students and I don't see journalists attending them to take down every word for print.

Theresa El-Amin is

Someone needs to tell Ms. El-Amin

That’s not true! I highly value exotic dancers and strippers. These lesboloons however can go get bent.

These are my totally unfounded accusations:

These embarrassingly stupid ACTIVISTS have just got to be “STRONG BLACK WOMYN”. They hate all men because it means a paycheck, and they cannot admit that most men are good because to do so would mean that they won’t get paid.
Their job is outrage, and nobody does outrage better than a former welfare recipient who now has a big “do nothing” job.

One of these ACTIVISTS is a Calypso Louie convert, an American Black Muslim. This means that she hates white people even more than the regular black people. Even more than Oprah.

These ACTIVISTS have social service “I am a leech” jobs. They are low paid, big title malcontents who need “sexual violence” as a hot topic, or else their phony agencies would close down and they’d be working the late shift at the Waffle House.

The cubette reporter, not worth the effort to remember her name, is an impassioned feminist who strives to “live the cause”. She can’t find her own a@@ with both hands. She either lives the “alternative lifestyle” or she has been used and dumped by a series of no good men, who know that the easiest mark on the planet is a homely feminist.

Crystal is a mental case prostitute who just popped out her third kid. The evidence from her body and her panties shows that between 4-9 different men had sex with this woman in one day. Unless she doesn’t bathe. A DEFINITE POSSIBILITY. The race pimps call her a college student. Her corner is probably close to the campus, that’s all. She tried to beat a night in the drunk tank and disrupted the entire nation.

I am not going to back up any of this, I am not going to list my sources, I am not going to be fair or objective. I am a woman and can say anything I want about anybody and if it’s not the truth, well, isn’t that just too bad! As long as I can get some opportunistic lowlife to play along, nothing will happen to me.

This is what ACTIVISTS do for all women, they drag us down to the bottom of the barrel, right alongside a prostitute.
I’m not going quietly...

Yep. It counts for nothing with the race hustlers that three young men had their lives nearly destroyed by a false rape charge. Yeah, Whitey should have gotten his comeuppance regardless of the truth.

Some friend. Personally, I think it's pretty obvious that the the woman needs some serious psychiatric help and these people are not her friends at all, but if they insist on criminal charges, so be it.

It's all for "the cause" and to hell with the truth or the individual.

Bias in the article itself. He did fine saying "accuser" and such through, but he just had to throw in "victim" in the end. What victim is this lady hoping to get in contact with, one of the three falsely accused men?

Good post.

Instead of looking to help an obviously troubled "sister", they are more than willing willing to throw her under the bus just to keep their grievance circus on the road.
