That would be my thought as well. He should have popped up in the database when he went to buy the firearms.

Have they said whether he bought the firearms legally or not? I can’t remember if I heard that? Also do they know when he bought them? Was it before or after that court order??

The only legislation that will come of this will be tougher reporting and checking for mental health disqualification. Of course, someone who checks in to a facility feeling depressed should not be denied the right to self-defense, but might need to get a doctor to sign off before getting off the do-not-sell-list.
Of course, under Rudy or Hillary, they will define us “gun-nuts” as mentally ill, so they can stop us or anyone from buying a gun (remember Catch-22?)

He must have lied about that on his purchase applications, and I don’t think the crimincal background checks cover mental illness, which fall under confidential doctor/patient privacy laws. Regardless, someone’s head is really going to roll now...
