Just heard anchorette report this on pMSNBC
I thought they live in Centerville, VA.
"The parents of mass killer Cho Seung-hi were hospitalised with shock and had not attempted suicide, contrary to reports in Korean media.
Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported that Cho’s parents, who ran a dry cleaning shop in Centreville, Virginia, had been hospitalised after learning of ther son’s killing rampage at Virginia Tech University.
Rumours earlier spread through Korean media sources that Cho’s parents had attempted suicide....."
You are probably close to the truth. We certainly haven’t heard anything about his religion, so we know he wasn’t Christian.
Pray for W and Our Troops
NBC news, due to the complexity of the issue and the dijointed material will be analyzing and SHOWING THIS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS...we want to take our time so you can fully understand this terrible event. Yes, it is true that we will make many millions of dollars by our slow release advertising strategy but we are here to inform you.
Bingo. It will be spun on complete rinse cycle.
Drudge reporting...
[’NIGHTLY NEWS’ will air portions(of the tape) this evening]
It consists of a lone speeding ticket a couple months ago, IIRC.
He might not have had time but he wanted his story out. I will be surprised if another package doesn’t show up.
I’m not sure, but I think FedEX is no longer just overnight service. I think they now have a two day rate, like United Parcel.
They do. They own a dry cleaners. I think they've been taken into protective custody.
“Wow. 2005 declared Mentally ILL and this in the past hour. Good grief.”
Make that Menta Lee-Il.
Any relation to Kim Jong?
How are they in trouble? He mailed it between shootings.
So, NBC’s statement that they immediately turned over the information, was immediately after they reviewed it and made copies for themselves???
I am embarrassed that so many Freepers don’t know how mail gets around.
“They live in South Korea. Apparently the mother colapsed in grief and shame, and has been hospitalised.”
His family came from Korea in ‘92. They live in Centreville, Virginia where his parents run a Dry Cleaners.
If he had, it would have come up on the gunshop owner's system that checks for that. It did not and the owner specifically said that....unless you consider a speeding ticket 'in trouble with the law.'
Nope. That house in Centerville is some sort of shared house.
His Parentseither never came to the US, or went back, but they we’rn’t the only people who lived there.
That he was stalking or had a crush on the first girl killed in the dorm is a possibility, and it's possible this material contains a lot of disgusting invective or talk about her.
In which case I suspect a news organization may think twice about releasing it.
