Sorry, but Oakton is a “very” high-rent suburb that is right next door to Vienna. It’s about 15 miles west to Centerville.

Well, he obviously didn’t cheat on him with another roommate.

Where does a 23 year-old, presumably unemployed college student get that kind of money?

Disturbed-looking picture. No affect, thousand yard stare.

I just don’t see the importance of this comment.

The article was published in the Toronto Star, a Canadian newspaper.

How did he get into college? Aren't you interviewed or something by a counselor? And (though I haven't read this, but assume .. ) after 3 plus years ... No one saw anything strange?

Yes, they saw DIVERSITY and money. If they saw anything unusual, perhaps they saw an opportunity to help someone. The liberals are social workers at heart.

The gunman in the deadliest shooting rampage in U.S. history was a loner who wouldn't even speak to his roommate.

Our #2 son's first year roommate was a young Korean man who wouldn't speak to him either, but he didn't go on a shooting rampage.

Being a loner doesn't mean one is a killer, or even has a propensity to be one. Even being a loner who writes disturbing stories for English class doesn't mean one is a killer. Just take a look at what passes for literature in most college English courses today, and you'll see that if students are trying to emulate modern authors, they most likely WILL write something that is disturbing or graphic, even if they are the happiest, most level headed people in the world.

My oldest son’s roomate arrived as a freshman and decorated his half of the room in a Dungeons and Dragons theme, right down to a nighlight. Needless to say, my son spent very little time in that room and was out by the next semester.

Well clearly if a Canadian was killed that changes everything.......... /sarc.

I don’t get it either.

But also the fact the kid didn’t say to much could that be because he was ESL studying English ? I’ve got a ESL coworker and chatting with her can be challenging.

Yes he was crackers but not sure his one word answers mean anything.
