It just seems to me, when law enforcement finds two dead bodies on a sleepy university campus in the 7 A.M. hour: they immediately should slam the Red Alert button....How about a snowstorm? If law enforcement finds snow on the ground at 7AM, should they slam the "Red Alert" button?
What indication did they have these two weren't murdered the night before?

Police have to do some rather unpleasant, physical time-of-death tests that are fairly accurate.
