Not all schools mix and match in the dorms. A more typical situation is the male floor/female floor sort of thing, and in some cases it will be alternating male and female units in the same quadrangle, with the Freshmen being held to the strictest standard of separation.

It doesn't raise any suspicion. I can't see that as a safe situation for college aged girls.
