Aahh, feeeeeeelings. No facts, just feelings.
Will they ever stop coming up with ways to steal my money?
Does CT tax food and medicine, too?.........
Axe the DemoTax.... the communist liberals would Tax to the Max with their hax....
Oh, did we not predict the pinko socialists could not keep their tyrannical taxing fingers off of the internet. They are so TOTALLY PREDICTABLE.
TAX, TAX, TAX, TAX, TAX, TAX....right out of the Communist Manifesto.
I say tax them to the limit and then some. When people keep electing Democrats even when they know it will mean higher taxes then they deserve what they get. What do they expect when they vote Democrat? LOWER TAXES??
This makes sense for Dems. A HUGE part of their base does not use the internet and they pay NO taxes anyway. Do I need to list who they are? I don’t think so.
I don’t live in CT, but there goes another state government nickel and diming the residents to death.
I don’t even understand this one - even if they want to start taxing items purchased throught the internet, why would they then HAVE to get rid of the exemption for clothes under 50 dollars? Couldn’t that be exempt as well?
IP spoofers will become very popular in CT.
bump....
How about a STUPID BILL TAX on every GD new tax proposal these thieves come up with?
Let's wait and see who they steal it from after they have it all.
The writer of this article, Chief Capitol Correspondent Mark Davis, apparently learned grammar in a government school. Since the plan is undoubtedly the brainchild of more than one democrat, the apostrophe goes after the "s."
Interestingly enough, in a later paragraph, Mr. Davis writes:
Today the Finance Committee gives final approval to the Democrats tax plan that eliminates that exemption.
That time he didn't even bother with the apostrophe, probably because he had no idea where to put it.
What passes for journalism in 2007 wouldn't have made it through fifth grade in 1957.
(Sorry, Puppage, I don't want to co-op your thread by being the grammar police. I just can't stand the stupidity any more. I know you just transcribed the article as written.)
again?????
When free commerce is made illegal via taxation, only "legals" will be criminals.
Doesn't say much for the rule of law but...
Remember that old joke about how the politicians would eventually find a way to tax sunlight and air? I think they’re headed in that direction.
“tax sunlight and air?
Well, forcing the purchase of CO2 offsets is half that.
Obviously feel good legislation without thought of payment.
Don't knock 'em, they're good democrats.
Short answer... NO!
Long answer ... Hell NO!
Why think when you can emote? Ideology feels so good.
Am I correct in assuming that Congress has allowed via the commerce clause for every state in the union to charge the various sales taxes on every business that sends merchandise to its citizens?
