Unfortunately, you are entirely correct. However, it wouldn't make much difference even had it not been in force. The high school curriculums and the overwhelming majority of high school educators are intent in producing sheep for the slaughter. Maybe I'm biased working as I do for the 4th largest school district in the nation these last 17 years and the last twelve in the inner city. My fight has been to try and counter that in my students. To make them think, choose to see all sides of all issues and make informed decisions according to their own values and all the facts and not to just swallow the pabulum fed them by a liberal educational establishment, nationwide. It's a losing battle, trust me. I teach seniors. Trying to overcome the cumulative effects of eleven previous years of mental programming is impossible. That's why my wife (also a high school teacher...but with 31 years in the classroom to my 17) and I are seriously preparing to retire within 4 years. Paying off debts and making wise investments. We're in good shape and on schedule to leave it all behind.
Wow, the press is already grilling the White House spokesman on the President's stance on gun control. That didn't take long.
Disgusting opportunists - taking advantage of a tragedy such as this to push their agenda.
You might pray about upping your schedule a year or 3.
God be with you Bro.
