The only two hospitals in the area, aside from Tech’s on-campus health clinics are Montgomery Regional and Roanoke Memorial, as well as a VA hospital in Roanoke.

There is a large hospital, Lewis Gale Medical Center, in Salem, Virginia which is actually closer to Tech than Roanoke Memorial. But Roanoke Memorial is a trauma center.

Actually there’s another large hospital in Roanoke, along with hospitals in Radford, Pulaski and Pearisburg (within 30-45 minutes of Blacksburg).
Montgomery Regional and the Roanoke Hospitals are the largest.
