This is probably dumb question, but that has never stopped me before. Does anyone know why they are carrying the people out like this and not fireman style over the shoulder? Wouldn't that be more efficient?
Well, right now they are not under fire and a fireman's carry could severely aggravate torso wounds.
Over the shoulder isn’t that great an idea for people with abdominal injuries. I think they didn’t know whether they had the shooter, just knew they had injured and wanted to get them to safety as quickly as possible, thus the ‘grab and dash’ instead of waiting for the medics. Not a bad move in my opinion.
Yes, but if those people are wounded, fireman-style would cause them to bleed out faster due to gravity. This way, unless they’re shot in the back, most of the blood stays in the torso.
