Gunman on Campus; Stay inside your building, away from windows; Shooting incident at West Ambler Johnston Hall

Okay, this is getting weirder. Israeli professor killed in a building where a Palestinian student happens to be outside at the time recording the “shots” on his cell phone.
I guess coincidences happen.
A noted Indian professor there at VT (India is in South Asia) was also gunned down. India is in shock. This was the top story in the Rediff, Times of India, Hindu, Hindustan Times, everywhere.
Uhm, if it is a Chi-com student I think the question should be what’s wrong with the Chinese. In all seriousness, they don’t understand our love and defense of our right to bare arms. They don’t have to and they are free to run things the way they see fit. Do they compare our murder rate to many other places with much stricter gun control? It’s a societal issue, not laws. No easy fix I’m afraid.
Yeah and I read a
German prof too was killed. How many classrooms did this guy hit...three at least from the number of professors killed (unless the professors were in the hallways.)
Antenna go up after learning this information. Thanks for he post.
PLA hit? Just speculation of course.

CNN just reported that Prof. Liviu Librescu is a Holocaust survivor. He is originally from Romania, and emigrated to the U.S. from Israel.

agree with all you say. It is insane to think restricting guns helps. Prepare to be very pi**ed at the MSM frothing over "why are guns so easy to get." You will see precious few in government stating the obvious -- that we need to train and arm school personnel.
Here he escapes all kinds of hell, torture, Khmer Rouge genocide, landminds, makes it to SAFETY, to the WEST, to our BELOVED UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
He is here but for 15 years, and then is gunned down in some parking lot in LA at late night because three, high gang-bangers with pistols and tough attitudes wanted his necklace (which was his only remembrance of his wife in Cambodia and which he would not surrender).
The poor man comes to the dream and safety of America, and is gunned down by own own, stinking, inner city animals/thugs. How ironic?
Agree. Considering the professor who was killed - the Romanian - IMHO - he was the target and everyone else was planned collateral damage to make it appear a wacked out student going on a rampage. This was no "rampage," IMHO.
But am just an observer with no facts other than what we know at this point.
Will we ever hear such speculation on the MSM? I haven't heard a single discussion about the professor yet.
>>And why should we trust school authorities with weapons? Most of them are liberal and probably support gun control, as in, the average citizen should not have one. More to the point, that profession is no more exempt from outrageous behavior than any other.
This was an engineering school. Engineering and the hard sciences (the ones without “science” in the name, typically) are *not* refuges for Liberals.
What’s wrong with these foreign universities? Why do they feel so obliged to send so many students to American institutions?
Sorry did not read your post - think you have it exactly right. Window dressing for a planned (PLA?) hit of the Professor. If so, we will never be told these facts. This would be an act of war.

If anyone saw the lousy film "event horizon" or the South Park Woodland Critter Christmas Special then you will be familiar with the term "blood orgy" This is what the Brady whore and her crooked accomplices in Kongress will be indulging in for the next couple of months.
In the absence of further evidence, I would not draw much inference about these connections. Most major engineering colleges have several Jewish faculty, many of whom have ties to Israel or dual Israeli citizenship. Also, most active researchers on the engineering faculty at Virginia Tech or elsewhere have done work on Department of Defense sponsored research projects. Finally, most of the faculty at the Virginia Tech who have had long careers have dozens of publications on their resume.
This professor’s death was a tragedy, as were the deaths of all the other victims. In the absence of other evidence, I don’t read much ‘strategy’ into this, other than the gunman picked a place where he could kill a lot of people.
I have many friends in the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech. On a certain level, I am not fully satisfied with the ‘answer’ that this was a lonely Chinese student upset over a breakup with a girlfriend, as the damage he has caused was so far beyond the bounds of that. I think there was a degree of preparation by the shooter that extended back at least several weeks, and I think the shooter must have had some formal military training. I hope there will be answers in the coming days, when the shooter is positively identified and we learn more about his background and motives.
