Dont watch mob movies and have never seen a episode of the Sopranos so your insinuation is wrong. I have seen what Rudy has done first hand in NYC throughtout his career and doing a skit in a dress cannot squash all that.

I am virulently anti-Giuliani, but I also don't think the dressing in drag thing was a big deal. I think it may hurt him somewhat since the pictures require an explanation that most will never hear, but I don't think it will destroy him.

One thing about the whole issue did get my attention. The Inner Circle Dinner is an annual event in NY and while the net is replete with pictures of Giuliani in a variety of female attire, I have not been able to find a single picture of Lindsey, Beame, Koch, Dinkins or Bloomberg performing in drag at the Inner Circle Dinner.

It does strike as a bit strange that Giuliani found so many opportunities to dress in drag that have apparently eluded every other mayor of NYC.
