Thread 4
Since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, our nation has fought a global war against violent extremists who use terrorism as their weapon of choice, and who seek to destroy our free way of life. Our enemies seek weapons of mass destruction and, if they are successful, will likely attempt to use them in their conflict with free people everywhere. Currently, the struggle is centered in Iraq and Afghanistan, but we will need to be prepared and arranged to successfully defend our nation and its interests around the globe for years to come. DOD
Our enemies include all the Muslims who dream of knocking Western Civilization off its perch atop humanityâs dung heap. Islam is fractured into any number of sects, tribes and ethnic groups, but the dream of destroying us cuts across all the fault lines. Islamic terrorists are merely the tip of a very large spear.
J. Peter Mulhern, the American Thinker, September 18
The determination behind that fight is real, the hatred is real, and the excuses for doing this are very real in the minds of those who have decided to walk that path. We can respond in two ways: Try to ignore or negotiate with people who do not want to negotiate in good faith, because what they want is our destruction, or to stand up against the darkness of those who see all of us, our way of life, our culture and our aspirations as something worth eliminating.
Either: "And God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism," Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
Or: "With vigilance, determination, courage, we will defeat the enemies of freedom, and we will leave behind a more peaceful world for our children and our grandchildren." GW Bush.

It amazes me how many people are talking like they are trying to pretend the situation in Gaza is something everyday. The Palestinian government controlling Gaza and the Westbank is no more....now, it looks like there will be Hamasland, Fatah Land (in the West Bank) and a lot of fighting.
And a lot more aggression towards Israel from Gaza.
Diversion. So much diversion these days. Where to look, who to watch. So many enemies, and so little time. And such an incompetent spy network.
You said a lot there :)
Ike has been working on me for while - I'm coming along fine, I think :)
Lots and lots. It's interesting that Iran is funding both sides.
ohhhh. thanks for that.

Morning - cdoffee - news - that order.
Running late - slept gooooood
Good morning, everybody!!
Early-early work day today, so concentrating on getting enough caffiene in my system to function, in as short a time as possible...
A quick perusal of the FR main board shows nothing of particular interest, and FNC is running its usual reruns.
I get the impression that the Hamas takeover of Gaza is a fait acompli, and the general reaction is ‘yawn’.....
How did the priorities in this world get so horribly screwed up????
Liberalism? - morning
It won't be long before Hamas.Islam takes the West Bank also.
Israel is in extreme peril.
” Liberalism? “
Wondering if ‘liberalism’ is more of a symptom than it is a ‘root cause’ — and the nihilism and ennui that makes ‘liberalism’ an attractive alternative seems to be pandemic among “civilized” peoples.. (I don’t claim to be particularly civilized - but I digress.....)
Trying to think waaaaaaay too deep for this early and this little coffee..... ;~)
Good morning, Workerbee — it’s gratifying that you sound remarkably chipper for a Friday.......
But I'm a knuckle dragging conservative neanderthal :)
Is it really Friday?
Freaking no wonder I feel so good demn - thax Ike
” - Holy crap - I forgot my shot yesterday - I’m in trouble. “
You’re kidding, right??
Right?????????
Oh no my friend - I don’t kid about stuff like that. I’m still within my window - I can get first off this morning
How could I possibly forget what damn day it is - how irresponsible - just damn.
You have company, friend. Don't know if it's good company, but I've done the same thing.
