It was just announced on the "Mike and the Mad Dog Show" on WFAN (Imus's home base): Imus is out of a job on radio as well.
He will not even be on the air tomorrow.
We need to get deadly serious about this. If we don't, we're going to get steamrolled.
2. Imus has 4 daughters by his second wife. They used to be on the air often, back before he married Deidre. He then pretty much blew off his first family. Otherwise he could have had his girls out to defend him..

I believe it was Imus who, after visiting Walter Reed, brought the deplorable conditions to the fore, it wasn’t until the WaPo took it up that anyone listened.
After initially claiming on Dec. 1, 2004 that "neither Media Matters nor its president and CEO David Brock has received any money from Soros or from any organization with which he is affiliated," the group is no longer disavowing any connection with groups "affiliated" with Soros.
The Media Matters shift came after Cybercast News Service questioned the group's financial ties and demonstrated that there were numerous and extensive links between Media Matters and several Soros "affiliates" like MoveOn.org, the Center for American Progress and Soros ally Peter Lewis.
Media Matters for America (MMA) spokeswoman Sally Aman responded to Cybercast News Service's questions with an e-mail. "In response to your query regarding donor funding Media Matters for America has never received funding directly from George Soros," Aman stated, no longer denying any relationship with organizations affiliated with Soros.
She went on to reference the "early support from Moveon.org, and the New Democrat Network," that Media Matters had received.
Check out, dude. Do you think that the corporations got those emails about Imus within days without coordination? I still say that Hillary is shaping the battle field by taking out Imus.
The politically correct spin on this from Hugh Hewitt and Juan (foxnews panel) is this is all market driven.
Imus is not Jewish, but he is a minister.
I recall when SNL had a nasty slur about Chelsea Clinton. There was apologies but I don’t think anyone got fired.
Mike and the Mad Dog were passionate defenders of Imus..this afternoon, after the CBDS announcementm, they both said on air that they were almost ashamed that they worked for CBS. And on Fox, Gibson’s show...Bo Dietl threatened to punch out Dick Morris..
The fact that this was Imus' standard faire is proof that this was no coincidence. Imus didn't stumble he was carrying on as usual.

You think you’re off to a great start when...

“Yeah, well you ought to be sorry”! Ever hear that line before? Maybe you weren’t the one who said it, but if you ever have heard it said by someone else it sends cold shivers down your spine.
Why? Because you know if the apology ever had a chance of healing the hurt and restoring the relationship, it just suffered a major setback.
That is an apology buster. The apology gets cut off at the knees before it gets a chance to walk.
They may have said such unkind words as a way of lashing back or in some feeble attempt to preserve what fragile image they have of themselves. It could be that it springs from blatant unrestrained anger. Or they may have said such words out of hurt, extreme disappointment or long term pent up feelings that subconsciously erupted and now they are embarrassed by the words they said.
Situations that warrant apologies are generally passionate and words are not always carefully measured before they are spoken. Those “off the cuff” words have a way of coming back to haunt us and we can find ourselves saying things we did not mean to say.
Apology busters are emotionally disappointing as well. You think you are off to a good start as you begin to apologize. If you’ve been practicing your apology, you may have even played out in your mind the mending of the relationship and are hoping for quick resolution. Then out of nowhere comes the bombshell. Something that caught you blindsided. All of a sudden spewing out of their mouth comes their shock and hurt over your clueless insensitivity. They’re thinking, “How dare you not to have thought ahead and considered the consequences of your actions”!
Hopefully all of your practicing has developed both your restraint and resolve. You are going to need it.”
Talk about a “Ho”.
