It was just announced on the "Mike and the Mad Dog Show" on WFAN (Imus's home base): Imus is out of a job on radio as well.
He will not even be on the air tomorrow.
Woooo hoooo! Wished I could’ve seen it!
John Gibson unleashed him earlier and he all but took the skin off of Dick Morris' (whom he called Mr. Morris dot com) face. Morris went through a litany of derogatory comments tbe I-Man supposedly has said over the years which makes one wonder where the outrage was. Imus is financially secure but I worry for Charles and Bernie.
Not a chance. She's a far left wing liberal. She can say anything she wants.
They understand it. Why do you think he was fired? He was going to get a two week suspension, but they changed course when sponsors bailed.
LOL
I wonder if Hillary had a hand in the Imus affair. Imus had some strong words about Clintons.
Oh, right. Lots of people claim they are Christian, but if you don’t see evidence of it, it’s usually a good indication that it just ain’t true.
Not much different from ambulance chasing, is it?
Are you referring to the KKK? If so, that's a disgusting comment.
A lot of us see the hypocrisy of the race pimps and it's interesting that it sounds like you don't.
Finally, The Very Reverend Al Sharpton can come out of the shadows and apologize to the world for the Tawana Brawley case. With the extra money he's sure to make, he can even start paying off that civil judgement to those he knowlingly and wrongly accused. (Like OJ, whom he has also defended, Al has not forked over a dime!
Also, these extra funds will allow the Good Reverend to reimburse the parents of the Duke Lacrosse Team for their legal expenses.
It would also be very nice if he offered legal marriage to those of his congregation who have had numerous offspring without benefit of clergy, paying for the reception out of his deep(-ened)pockets.
Taking his cue from Imus' fund-raising, The Most Reverend Al Sharpton can even start raising money for Slave Reparations; a crack cocaine buy-back program, a factory to make gangsta clothing in the ghetto instead of importing from China.... this Holy Man could be the next Okrah Winfrey.
His Grace, Al Sharpton can even use the money to study basic Christian concepts, like the difference between the Immaculate Conception and the Virgin Birth, which in his anti-Catholic diatribes seems to have eluded him (and the Equally Reverend Jackson.)
Which ain't a helluva lot in the CBS/Infinity universe, which is worth about 2 billion altogether.
I do think Imus made a big mistake by going on Sharptons show
#####
I was surprised at the groveling. Didn’t he learn anything from the Trent Lott example?
I seriously don’t care what people say or think about me. Maybe I’m different. But the way I see it the only time I have to worry about what someone says about me is if it’s true.
All they needed to do was either ignore his comments or just given a “consider the source” type answer. A HUGE deal was made out of—not much. We don’t have a Constitutional right to not be offended.
“we intend to organize and mobilize”
But nevermind, there aren’t any negative race repurcussions from any of this....../s
I agree that this entire brouhaha has set race relations back. One need only listen to Anderson Cooper on CNN who is amazed at the e-mails from viewers who are sick about the double standards.
We were at dinner last night and a large table of people sitting next to us started talking about this with us and to a person they were disgusted by the double standard.
And tonight I told my husband that this is turning people against the whiners in our country and against the race pimps.
No coincidence about it. Did you notice that Hillary and Obama jumped right on board as soon as they saw the campaign had wheels? Hillary used it to create traffic to her website and thus fatten her mailing list? This whole thing has application beyond mere race hustling.
Yeah, well Je$$e couldn't name a single black anchor on MSNBC.
Most likely Imus will end up on MX because that will make it even popular as a broadcasting service. This would not surpise me.
