"Everyone who values FREE SPEECH on this forum should have a sick feeling in their stomach right now."
What about people who believe private corporations should be allowed to hire and fire their own employees?

He's speaking so fast I could never do it justice. But among others he said that if Les Mooves was so worried about this getting out of the airwaves......what about the entertainment division and the rappers.
He says this is like management making all the money on Imus, and pretending all these years that they didn't know what was going on.

Hey, this is the new America.
You can’t say anything ABOUT the blacks or they’ll riot.
You can’t say anything ABOUT the muslims or they’ll blow you up.
You can’t say anything ABOUT the Jews or they’ll start calling you Hitler.
We were warned about this long ago.
“Society can and does execute its own mandates: and if it issues wrong mandates instead of right, or any mandates at all in things with which it ought not to meddle, it practises a social tyranny more formidable than many kinds of political oppression, since, though not usually upheld by such extreme penalties, it leaves fewer means of escape, penetrating much more deeply into the details of life, and enslaving the soul itself.”

Totally over the top. I guess if Imus were to blow his brains out, then they all would be satisfied moreso.

And now it is reported Hillary is on her way to Rutgers.
I'll bet Obama beats her and gets there first.

he was strongly opposed to Hillary Clinton being elected President. If Imus thinks for a minute she had a hand in this, you can bet his ranch that he will not keep quiet about it. There is no way he will not have the last word on this.

I think Rush has enough money to buy plenty of radio stations.

Oh, this is swell! Bo just made the liberal woman say Obama’s middle name.
From now on, we should ALL start using that.

XM... please, please, please let him come to XM.
If the merger goes through, I know it won't matter. But for now, I have XM and I'd like to have him on the same platform as Snoop Dogg, Opie and Anthony, and Ron and Fez.

If Rosie O’Donnell turns against Hillary Clinton, rest assured that her past remarks against Orientals, etc., will be used to give her the Don Imus treatment. Even Oprah Winfrey would not be invulnerable, despite her enormous influence and double minority status, should she get crossways with the Clinton crime machine. In fact, the real example must be to scare MSM types away from supporting Hillary’s rivals, and not to intimidate the conservative talkers, who are basically impervious to liberal boycotts. I have no illusions that the liberals want to shut Rush et. al., down, but they will revive the Fairness Doctrine to do so should the Democrats strengthen their hold on Congress and either a Democrat or a RINO becomes President in the 2008 elections.

With friends like Bo Dietle....if this is the kind of idiots defending Imus, gooooood luck.

They must first have a sacrificial lamb (Imus). Old goat, maybe. Lamb? No.

That is a good point in that Rush has his own network. And the groundswell of support would be stunning for Rush I believe.

Although he endorsed Kerry, he also made stinging criticisms of the guy that were much more effective coming from a supporter than if an opponent had made them.

I liked to watch the simulcast.
All those liberals and Rinos cow-towing to him was very informative.
I’m sorry they fired him.
