I’m really disappointed in Imus on this.
Though I don’t find much in what he says that I can agree with, he always struck me as somebody with some backbone, some crust.
He might at least ask Mr. Sharpton “Who does more harm? The lame old white guy doing radio shtick, or your own young men, preaching these same things and being glorified by even those who should take offense?”
I might actually feel some pity for the guy if I didn't know that he would be the first to pile on if it was someone else in his place, especially if that person ever voiced conservative or Republican ideas. Now he gets a two week vacation as punishment. Ouch, that's hurts!
He sort of tried that on the Today Show and Matt Lauer and Sharpton immediately accused him of trying to shift the blame.
