I was listening to the Laura Ingraham radio show today and they were talking about how some cars are girly cars and some are manly cars. Laura was particularly mentioning that the Mazda Miata was a girly car. This was news to me. Her assisitant chimed in with saying the Mazda 3 was a girly car. This was also news to me. I'm in the market for a new car and was thinking of buying the MAzda 3 or a Miata. I've been told that the 3 has fewer service issues than other Mazda cars.
Of course one would gather that the manly cars would be trucks.
One girly car I've noticed is the VW Beetle. I've never seen a man driving one of those.
What do Freepers think? What cars are girly cars and what cars are manly cars.

A few months ago as I parked my CRV, I heard a guy standing nearby tell someone Id love to have one of those CRVs, but you never see guys driving them.If your car defines your masculinity, it ain't the car that's the problem.

Thanks for the input everyone. I never expected over 200 post on this. OK...I won't buy a Miata (probably wasn't going to anyway it was just kinda down the list).
One more thing....classless gator fans suck.

If they were painted one color they might not look so stupid. Most of the ones I've seen were -- or at least the colors were similar enough that the two-tone effect didn't particularly register.
In another car thread, I learned that there are more than a few fans of the late Pontiac Aztek -- even they agree it's fugly, but I'm told it's utilitarian, a good driver and easy to get stuff into and out of.

My girlfriend has a 4.0 in silver...a 2001 with only 53000 miles on it.
Still reminds me of my dad's Buick Roadmaster when I drive it.

The old one was driven mostly by men. My own limited observations agree if that is the case. And LOTS of Porsche parts fit on them too! They could be very fun (and sometimes way too exciting) to drive!
