Girly cars vs. Manly cars (Laura Ingraham)

I was listening to the Laura Ingraham radio show today and they were talking about how some cars are girly cars and some are manly cars. Laura was particularly mentioning that the Mazda Miata was a girly car. This was news to me. Her assisitant chimed in with saying the Mazda 3 was a girly car. This was also news to me. I'm in the market for a new car and was thinking of buying the MAzda 3 or a Miata. I've been told that the 3 has fewer service issues than other Mazda cars.

Of course one would gather that the manly cars would be trucks.

One girly car I've noticed is the VW Beetle. I've never seen a man driving one of those.

What do Freepers think? What cars are girly cars and what cars are manly cars.

I like the Element. Oh, I’ll be the first to admit it looks goofy, but it’s a brilliant utilitarian design. A car where you can open up both sides and just hose it out? Nothing girly or gay about that.

I drive an F250 Super Duty and can do that because I am secure in my feminity.

See, this is my premise. The majority of people driving F-250s nowadays are either illegals working for some drywall company, on their way to work, or women who have hay to haul and horse trailers to pull. The men are driving 350 V-8 or V-10 diesel duallys. With cab lights, a rifle rack, and maybe a Confederate flag decal and/or a USMC sticker.

I swear, I know a guy who did that. I wouldn't have the cajones, just because I don't want a cop looking in the window and seeing that when he's looking me over on the side of the road late at night.

I did know one straight guy who drove a Miata (but that was Weird Al Yankovic).

I love my Honda CRV, 160K miles and still going strong (knock on wood) so it must be a girly car. A few months ago as I parked my CRV, I heard a guy standing nearby tell someone “I’d love to have one of those CRV’s, but you never see guys driving them.”
