Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera had one of the most heated war of words I've ever seen on cable news Thursday.
An illegal immigrant was charged in the drunk driving death of two girls in Virginia Beach recently. Oliver Willis says Geraldo "called out O'Reilly's xenophobia for exactly what it was. This drove Bill O'Reilly insane. I was almost certain he was going to reach across the table and hit Geraldo."
The most vicious part is on YouTube:
A minute later, after O'Reilly abruptly changed the subject because time was running out ("what are you doing on your show this weekend?"), Geraldo said: "I think that one of the wonderful things about our network is that we are fair and balanced."
"People can decide whether you're right or I'm right. And they will decide that I'm right," O'Reilly responded
Johnny Dollar has the full video...
I just find it fascinating that people are bemoaning the evils of big corporations giving $2 million bonuses at the expense of the lower rung employees while at the same time paying for their retirement at the expense of my wallet through tax dollars.
Oops. Should be:
"Maybe, thats why he is so blase about illegal immigration. Hes quite wealthy and might move out of the USA for good."
I saw this last night when it first aired. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, my son even came in to see what all the hub-bub was about. Unfreaking real.
Coming up on the next MTV Celebrity Death Match: Geraldo Rivera and Bill O’Reilly in a fight to the death...
Man, this country is more worried about image than obeying the law. What has this country become?
And what's more fun than that? Anything! 8-)
The thing that leapt out at me was Geraldo defending the illegals by saying we lured them here.
With Geraldo's type of reasoning I guess any poor person who breaks into a rich person's house can say he was lured there, because he knew he would find more expensive things than he could otherwise afford and probably find some money there also. - tom
He is also a little, bittie, crass man eaten up with jealousy of Lou Dobbs. Geraldo can't hold the light to Lou Dobbs and he knows it.
I experienced the same kind of thing in Turkey. One of our guys ran off the road and hit a tree. The tree was found 25% guilty for growing there. The American GI 25% wrong for hitting the tree and 50% wrong for being in Turkey.
Actually, Geraldo is half Jewish, half Puerto Rican.
And 99% ego
More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says
When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population. Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.
Wanted for Murder in New York City.
Chicago wanted for Murder
Philadelphia wanted for murder
New Orleans wanted for Murder
Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC
FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals)
There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.
Also, part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article.
All that said, it could be argued that if you include the number of illegals in state and local prisons the number of illegals in jail shrinks to 6% of the total prison population. Never the less if you multiply 16692 (the number of americans murdered in 2005) * .06 (illegal alien percent of total prison population) * 4 (the number of years the US has been in Iraq). The result is that more americans (4006) have been killed by illegals than have been killed in the Iraq war.
This point needs to be hammered home. Just as the liberals have hammered home the point about americans killed in Iraq.
Kind'a says it all. He would'a made a helluva car salesman.
bttt for truth ...
I agree with you 100%. However, it's a whole lot more difficult to put the aforementioned on a bumper sticker than "Bush Lied, People Died." Truth and honesty is being trumped by the bumper sticker mentality of a majority of our citizens. I cringe every time I hear a politician say "the American people are smarter then that."
“Bush Lied, People Died.”
The grievous thing is that this cuts both ways.
He already opened his mind to reveal the great sucking vacuous black hole in his head.
Interesting info there ckilmer. Thanks.
Ya gotta remember one thing. It’s television! The one and only reason for programming of any kind, is to fill in the time between commercials.
Start a buzz, get people talking, get higher ratings...and the commercials are worth more.
I’m not a Fox hater. If there’s something important happening, Fox is the station I’ll watch. But other than that, I don’t watch any of them. I’ll get my news from FR, Rush and the Great One.
I missed it.. they just showed it on Shep’s show and are going to discuss it after the commercial... wow!
