{{{{{hugs}}}}} I’m doing great and Hannah is too. I put a new pix of her on my profile page today. She’s such a sweetie!
So, you are watching American Idol too? Who's your favorite at this point?
Bump!
Thank you! Hannah is such a blessing and I am so glad to be close enough to see her often.
For American Idol, I like Melinda, LaKisha and Jordin. I think Jordin will probably win but Melinda and LaKisha will have big careers. Who is your favorite? And how long do you think Sanjaya will last?
Hot Cross Buns IV
It was a custom in medieval times, and still is in many places, to mark a new loaf of bread with the sign of the Cross before cutting it. On special occasions the cross was imprinted on the loaf itself, either by way of indentation or through a frosting of sugar.
In England, from the end of the fourteenth century, buns were baked with a cross on them. They are said to have originated at St. Alban's Abbey in 1361, where the monks distributed them to the poor on Good Friday in place of the ordinary buns. These "hot cross buns" became a famous Good Friday feature in England and Ireland, and later in the New World. They are now often served on other days of Lent as well. Made of spiced dough, round in shape, with a cross of sugar icing on the top, they are a familiar item of Lenten pastry.
These hot cross buns would be a great treat to serve on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross, since the cross on the top of the bun reminds us of the feastday.
DIRECTIONS
Dissolve yeast from hot roll mix in warm water in large bowl. Blend in egg. Add currants, citron, cinnamon, flour mixture; mix thoroughly. Let rise in warm place 30-45 minutes. Divide dough in 16 equal parts. Shape into balls. Place on greased baking sheet. Let rise again to almost double in size, 30-45 minutes. Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown at 400°. Brush with soft butter. Cool. Make cross on top of each with mixture of 1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar combined with 4 1/2 teaspoons milk.

Happy
Easter!
The guys have sure been a disappointment, huh? And, Sanjaya......sheesh! I can't believe he is still there. LOL
One thing I have noticed this season; Paula seems a little less out of it than she has in past years. I think the rumors about her drinking and drugging have caused her to be more aware of how she is coming across. I think she is just a naturally "spacey" person.
Thank you. A happy and blessed Easter to you, tulip.
Happy Easter to you, Amy!
Thank the Good Lord!
I listened to this song, the prayer in this song, and got a miracle healing!!
A true healing miracle!
If I may I will share my testimony. I have severe RA (arthritis) for about 15 years now, I prayed daily that the Lord would heal my hand for several years now. The hand swelled that the fingers turned in a direction to the side they should not be in, the pain and discomfort was getting so bad, today 2 of the 4 fingers went back in place!!
The pain and discomfort is almost completely gone.
I cannot tell you what it feels like to receive a miracle!
Thank you MamaBear for posting the beautiful prayer and song!
A true Easter miracle!
Thank you Lord!!
“I pray you’ll be all right, and watch us where we go”......
Praise God! Oh, stopem..This is so wonderful.

READ: Galatians 6:11-18
God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Galatians 6:14
In the twisted wreckage of a Metrolink train crash, firefighters from Los Angeles Fire Station 27 found a message that brought tears to their eyes. A survivor of the crash, thinking he was dying, had used his own blood to write on the seat in front of him that he loved his wife and kids.
Normally, we use the words written in blood in a less literal way. It usually conveys a willingness to stand behind our words with our life.
As Paul ended his letter to the Galatians, he was, in a figurative sense, writing his story in blood. He wrote a message of love and grace that would arouse the anger of other religious leaders. He knew he would be hated for honoring the death of Christ above the ritual and moral law of Israel. He would be punished for teaching that Christs death and resurrection were more important than the law of circumcision that represented the whole Mosaic way of life. His suffering for Christ would literally include shedding his own blood (2 Cor. 11:23-25).
Paul wasnt willing to play it safe. He knew the crucifixion of Jesus was the center page of history. Putting his own life on the line, Paul proclaimed the inexpressible heart of God, who gave His Son to express the ultimate words of love, written in blood at the cross.
I am so happy for you!! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
