Naw, the weather’s too nice there. Some rock of the coast of Alaska would do better.

Not so cold-blooded. Sadly that’s the way things have worked over the decades. The commoners get to deal with life and it’s injustices and nothing is done until it hits some elitist politician or actor. Then when they have to deal with life like the great unwashed masses, they will do something about it.

The largest part of the problem is the takeover of our government of the Wealthy Elite. They have no self governance, compassion for the lower classes, or common interests. Part of this problem derives from a lack of community involvement whether it be military service or some other capacity. Sort of the same conditions that led up to the French Revolution and the rolling out of the Gullotine.

This is not to say that there hasn’t until this point, ever been wealthy elites in government - there has always been the blue bloods involved in the power structure of our govt. However there were generally enough folks of common variety to balance the power and maintain a watch for the lower classes.

The insatiable and undeniable drive for money in DC is taking all those who enter the halls of government and turning them into millionaires instantly. Once they enter into the world of extravagant wealth there is no turning back, nor will they ever exchange wealth for compassion. They are lured by the grip of wealth, and none are strong enough to deny it. It’s only a matter of time before push comes to shove.

The people these elites continually turn their backs on, the military that is fighting for in many cases their financial interests are going to begin retaliating. Historically a triumphant military is not what the Wealthy want coming back home. What the Wealthy want is a military that ends their problems, then coming back home quitely, without parades. A Triumphant military comes home and makes demands from the treasury, Generals use their popularity to garner political clout and office and the power structure changes thereby threatening the Wealthy Elite’s grip. This enables common rungs to regain power. A problem with this is once regaining power the push for a variety of Socialism can be a result.

Velazquez-Nava, who was wearing a seat belt, got out of the SUV [2007 GMC Yukon] and was walking around after the collision, Fischer said. His passenger, Lydia Mora, 29, of Azusa, was treated for minor injuries and released.

...

Velazquez-Nava does not have documentation of legal U.S. residency, nor does he appear to have ever had a U.S. driver's license, Fischer said. The Yukon was registered to Velazquez-Nava, who claimed to have insurance, but police haven't been able to verify any, Fischer said.

Velazquez-Nava lives in Los Angeles, but little other information was available. He told authorities that he was on his way from Hollywood to West Covina when he crashed, although he was traveling in the opposite direction. Fischer said Velazquez-Nava was probably lost.

Law enforcement sources said Velazquez-Nava pleaded guilty in 2005 in Los Angeles to a prostitution-related charge and was sentenced to two years' probation. He could face at least four to 10 years imprisonment if convicted of vehicular manslaughter.

A new study has been released that shows immigrants pay under $10,000 in taxes. Yet, they receive more than $32,000 in social services benefits.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0704/05/ldt.01.html

REP. BRIAN BILBRAY, (R) CA: Well, this study really shows why we spend billions and billions. We try to reduce the number of people who are undereducated, under-trained. Because they don’t have the ability to produce the resources to be able to pay for the overhead that you have.

And then when you have people that stand up and try to justify illegal immigration that we need more poor, uneducated people in the country, the Heritage Foundation sort of re-enforces that this is an issue that goes beyond legal and illegal immigration. It’s a concept that we should try to get those paying a major portion of the expense of what they produce.

We’re really talking for every illegal immigrant family in this country, we’re giving them the equivalent of a brand-new mustang convertible every year. That’s something that I think we’ve got to recognize is the real expense of illegal immigration.

DOBBS: Robert Rector, let’s put up this chart of showing the cost of low-scale workers. And this is an interesting way to look at it. They pay under $10,000 in taxes. Yet, they receive more than $32,000 in benefits.

The tax burden, obviously, is the difference between the two. And that is an impressive number. But it rises to over $1 million over the lifetime of such workers.

There’s another way to look at this. It seems to me, Robert Rector. And that is if low-skill workers are being brought in by corporate America, what they’re really doing is pushing the burden of providing for those low-skill workers, particularly, illegal immigrant, off on the American taxpayer, so that the company, the employer of those illegal aliens won’t be paying that 32 — or $22,000, and the difference, if we can assume that, each year.

RECTOR: That’s exactly right. When the Chamber of Commerce will come to me and lobby and say, oh, we have to have these workers. We’d have to pay a dollar an hour more if we didn’t have them.

I say, look, each one of these workers that you bring in like this, if they come in with family, it’s costing the taxpayers $22,000. Do you as an employ want to pay that cost? They say, oh no, no. We don’t want to pay that.

They just want to shift those costs onto the taxpayer so they can make a tiny bit more profit. It’s a terrible, terrible idea. And we have a very generous system for people born in the United States, we support them through welfare. We subsidize their Social Security. We give basically free education for their kids.

But what we really have now is a kind of trans-national welfare outreach where we’re pulling more welfare recipients into the country.
